Wushu - Fraîche Talent DJ FF#16
We're proud to introduce our third DJ competition winner, Elena Wushu Alaimo aka WUSHU. WUSHU is London-based Italin-born DJ with a fun party vibe playing a mixture of disco, electro, house and hip hop. We had a quick chat with WUSHU before her warm-up set with us this Saturday.

We had a quick Q&A sesh with WUSHU prior to her set at FF#16 on 28.04.18.
Hi WUSHU, congrats on winning our DJ competition! so let's start at the beginning, When did you first start DJing?
I started DJing when I was around 15 years old just for fun
What inspired you to take to the decks?
I used to be a hip-hop dancer and when I was 14 and nobody was playing my favorite songs, so I decided to do it myself!
Ha awsome attitude, so tell us a little about your journey so far.
At the beginning i used to play hip hop music, which was the world from which i came, then i started to go to gay parties and after coming out my taste in music changed towards more disco and pop music. When I moved to Milan (19 years old) I began going to clubs and I got closer to underground culture, I worked for years as PR for one of the best club in Milan, where I listened good house, techno and electronic music. Now my music is the result of various life experiences.
What's been your highlight gig until now?
I think the best gig in my life was for Lecco Milano, a gay bar in Milan, for a party called FEMELLAS, where all the girls started dancing on all the tables till closing. I think this is the best that you can possibly expect from dance floor.
That sounds a lot of fun! So where would you like to see your DJ career take you in the future?
I don’t know yet, because I do it just for fun and having such a great time with people who I work with, it’s more passion than a possible job.

I researched I lot of new music and I hope to have a great times and for people to have fun, enjoy my music and dance a lot.
